America's first craft brewery destroyed in San Fran's 1906 earthquake

Founded in 1896 San Francisco, the Anchor Brewing Company was America's first craft brewery, which later burned to the ground as a result of the 1906 earthquake. Rebuilt, and lasting 127 turbulent years, Anchor Brewing's declining revenue finally forced a closure in 2023. However, the company was recently purchased by the owner of Chobani (the maker of yogurt) and there are once again plans to get America's oldest brewery steaming ahead.
